Thanks to the Transit Transfer Program, you can connect to MTD buses and two electric shuttle routes for free when you show your Pacific Surfliner ticket. This one below (the Downtown Shuttle) goes up and down State Street to shopping centers, the courthouse and other destinations. Or, catch the Waterfront shuttle and ride to the harbor, Chase Palm Park, and the Santa Barbara Zoo.

The majestic Santa Barbara Courthouse is easy to get to on the Downtown Shuttle. Or, you can walk one mile up State Street. The Observation Tower offers the BEST views of the city. It’s no wonder why it’s rated as the #1 thing to do in Santa Barbara on TripAdvisor!

La Arcada is a unique shopping center near the courthouse and art museum. Walk along the tiled walkways and eat at one of the fantastic restaurants. Take some time to explore the lifelike sculptures and appreciate the special architectural details.

The MTD Waterfront Shuttle can take you to the Santa Barbara Zoo, one of the best small zoos in the country. See more than 500 animals and 140 species of mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects, sometimes with an ocean view. Right next door is the Andree Clark Bird Refuge, a 45-acre saltwater marsh that is home to more than 200 species of birds!
